On January 20, 2024, the guard and his agency visited the PNP-Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies at Camp Crame in Quezon City for a ‘clarificatory meeting.’

According to the PNP-Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG), the meeting discussed the viral video circulating on social media and how the guard handled the situation.

They also informed the security agency of the required documents they must pass, including an affidavit.

The security guard and his employer were given three days to prepare the documents.

In a short interview, the guard said that he was carried by his emotions, which resulted in his actions toward the Sampaguita vendor.

He also apologized to the vendor for what happened.

Meanwhile, the agency that was handling the security guard clarified that he was not removed from his job but took a temporary break while the investigation was ongoing.

The agency was also preparing to add more programs and training for their personnel.

“Ang sa amin lang, sa sitwasyon na ‘yun, kinausap na lang namin yung guard namin na sana ‘wag na ulit mangyari yun. At saka kung ano man ma-encounter, susundan na lang yung natin yung tinuturo sa mga tranings,” the guard said.
