Miles Ocampo revealed that Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon had already apologized to her following the veteran comedian’s comments about her weight.
It can be recalled that last month, Joey received criticism on social media after he made a joke about Miles’ weight while she was receiving birthday greetings from her Eat Bulaga co-hosts.
“Wala akong masabi kundi Pataas! Pataas ‘yung edad eh,” said Tito.
“Pataba! Ay pababa,” said Joey as he tried to incorporate the song he wrote ‘Spaghetti’ into Tito’s birthday message to Miles.
During a media conference for her upcoming solo lead, Teleserye “Padyak Princess,” Miles said that she was fine with Joey’s joke about her weight since Dabarkads were prepared to absorb each other’s jokes.
A day after he made the said joke, Joey personally apologized to Miles.
Miles underwent an operation on her Thyroid after being diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma.
The doctors removed her Thyroid, which resulted in different side effects, including weight gain.
Miles’ thyroid removal slowed down her metabolism, leading to weight gain.
