A devotee was facing criticism on social media after she was spotted lying down on the hearse used for the procession of Jesus Christ.
The video was taken on Holy Saturday, and the woman riding the hearse while taking a selfie on the bed where the image of Jesus Christ was supposed to be placed could be seen.
Several netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment after they saw the video.
“Marami talaga mga taong mapanadya sa panahon Nato na di manlang maisip kung tama paba ang ginagawa nila ,Sinadya pagiging Pasaway para nga nmn cool ang datingan niya… Attention seeker,” netizen Martha said.
“Bakit naman kasi ipinagkatiwala sa mga yan ng simbahan? Alam naman nila na puro kalokohan ang mga kabataan ngayon. At para kay Dabyana, pasikat ka ahh. Nicee. Next time sa parada ka ng lechon sumama. Mas sisikat ka dun,” netizen Vic remarked.
“Yan ang nangyayari SA mga taong gustong gusto kumita,, attention seeker… respito Naman po kahit Hindi Ka katoliko… wag mong gawing content Yan,” netizen Leevee commented.
As of writing, the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has yet to give its thoughts on the video.
The said hearse was used to transfer the image of Jesus Christ during the Holy Week procession to remind the devotees about the sacrifice of the Lord.
