TV Patrol, nakiramay sa pagpanaw ni Mike Enriquez, Noli de Castro inalala ang beteranong mamamahayag

Despite being rivals for many decades, TV Patrol hosts dedicated their utmost respect to the late veteran journalist Mike Enriquez who passed away on August 29, 2023.

During the episode of TV Patrol on Tuesday, Noli de Castro led the delivery of the sad news to the netizens.

Before the end of the Kapamilya program, Noli and his co-hosts, Bernadette Sembrano and Henry Omaga-Diaz.

“Isa nanamang malungkot sa isang haligi ng pamamamahayag sa ating bansa,” Omaga-Diaz said.

“Nakikiramay po kami especially sa mga Kapuso,” Sembrano said.

De Castro then remembered how many times they crossed paths with Enriquez.

“Lagi kaming nagkakasabay sa mga live, sa Quiapo, basta may malalaking live nagkakasabay kami, nung may prangkisa pa tayo,” the journalist said.

GMA News announced the sad news to their fans on the night of August 29.

“Enriquez, 71, was one of the anchors of GMA’s flagship newscast “24 Oras” and hosted the long-running public affairs program, “Imbestigador.” He also served as President of RGMA Network, Inc. and GMA Network’s Senior Vice President and Consultant for Radio Operations. He also anchored DZBB’s “Super Balita sa Umaga” and “Saksi sa Dobol B.” He joined the broadcast industry in 1969 and then became part of GMA Network in 1995, wholeheartedly serving the Filipino audience for 54 years,” the statement of the network reads.
“The Board of Directors, management, and employees of GMA Network, Inc. deeply mourn the passing of Mr. Enriquez. His dedication to the industry will serve as an inspiration to all. We pray for the eternal repose of our beloved Kapuso,” they added.
