Drag Queen Pura Luka Vega had launched fundraising amid the two charges he was facing from different Church groups.
In a tweet posted by Philippine Drag Updates, Pura would use the proceeds of the donation for his transportation and food that they need to spend during their court appearances.
“WE NEED YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER,” the group wrote. “Pura Luka Vega seeks for financial support as she faces trial this September,”
“Your donations will go to Luka’s family and transpo/food for their court dates this September,” they added.

The post reached mixed reactions from the netizens.
“Nyahahahahaha. Nagmamatigas sya. He didn’t bother apologizing tapos manghihinge ng donation? I don’t want to help him. He doesn’t deserve anyone’s help. Magdusa sya,” netizen Christopher said.
“Bawal magbigay ng limos. Nagdasal siya di ba so ayan na yung blessings niya in a form of bad karma. Magutom ba di mag dasal ka the forsaken drag queen. Amen,” netizen She commented.
The drag queen was facing charges from the the Philippine Jesus Movement for alleged violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention act.
He was also facing another complaint from the Hijos de Nazarenos for the same violation.
Article 201 penalize the ‘immoral doctrines’ and ‘indecent shows’ and the said groups accused Pura’s ‘Ama Namin’ performance as against the law.
