Pura Luka Vega revealed that he used to be an educator in the past before becoming a drag queen.
In his post, Pura made a comment about the current state of several classrooms in the country, including the lack of ‘visual aids’ to help students to learn.
According to him, he was spending his own money to decorate his classroom with visual aids.
“As a former teacher, I find it weird that classrooms are stripped off of visual aids, that will supposedly help students learn and spark their interest and imagination. ‘Yung periodic table ko nga dati, I have to print to cover an entire wall so students appreciate chemistry,” said Pura.
It can be recalled that Pura became controversial on social media because of his “Ama Namin” performance.
Because of his actions, Pura was currently facing charges from two different groups and also had been declared persona non grata in 11 places in the Philippines.
Despite the consequences of his performance, Pura refused to apologize and insisted that he was only expressing his ‘art’.
Pura said that he didn’t mean to mock the Catholic Church and he was even open to dialogs with different groups.
