Television host Kris Aquino revealed more details about her reason for breaking up with Mark Leviste.
Kris, known for being open in sharing private information about her life with the public, revealed that she wanted Mark to focus on her, but the latter’s responsibilities as a government official made it impossible.
“I’m realistic enough that Marc has a life beyond trying to help take care of me. I apologize for seeming selfish but why will I add stress in my life when I see his posts enjoying himself when I am suffering 8,000 miles away? If we had tried to stay together as a couple the ending would still be the same,” said Kris.
“Tao rin ako na napipikon at nagtatampo dahil mararamdaman kong, hindi ba nya naisip ang hirap na pinagdadaanan ko? Kaya minabuti ko nang sa’kin nang manggaling kasi nakita at naramdaman kong hindi sya handa sa responsibilidad ng seryosong relasyon kasama ang isang babae na tinaggap ang realidad na ‘yung buhay nya ngayon ay pinahiram na oras lamang ng Diyos.
“Pareho kaming may karapatan na mabuhay sa paraan na pinaka payapa ang mga puso namin. I’m keeping my word that he will never read nor hear me saying anything negative about him because what for?” she also said.
It can be recalled that on July 10, Kris announced that she called it quits with the Batangas Vice Governor, saying that a long-distance relationship was hard for her to maintain.
