Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) was reportedly struggling to keep up with their advertisers after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other hosts of their noontime show Eat Bulaga decided to leave the program.
According to the report made by Abante, several advertisers were already sending demands to TAPE Inc., asking the company to return the money they paid to air commercials to Eat Bulaga.
It’s not yet known if grocery chain Puregold was included in the list of companies allegedly asking TAPE Inc. to return their money.
Joey already revealed that Puregold already paid in advance to TAPE Inc. to promote their grocery chain for three years for an undisclosed amount.
However, the decision made by TVJ to leave Eat Bulaga may affect the relationship between the said company and TAPE Inc.
It can be recalled that 80% of the advertisers reportedly expressed support for TVJ and even pledged to promote their products in the upcoming show of the Dabarkads on TV5.
The remaining 20% of advertisers are reportedly planning to follow suit if ever that TAPE Inc. decides to return their money.
Observers believed that TAPE Inc. would be forced to terminate their contract with GMA if they ever lost most of their sponsors as they’re paying millions of pesos every month to the Kapuso Network.
As of writing, TAPE Inc. has yet to give any response to the said reports.
