After passing away on June 3, 2023, John Regala’s remains have already been brought to St. Peter Chapels in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
During the first day of the wake, several friends, fans, and some celebrities visited John who ended his battle with liver and kidney complications.
Iglesia Ni Cristo members already dedicated flowers to the former action star who converted to the said Church in 2015.

Sa mga nagtatanong po, nakaburol po ang labi ng Kapatid na John Regala sa St. Peter Chapel, Tandang Sora, Commonwealth Avenue, QC (tapat po ng Templo Central).” Netizen Thony Cura said.
More celebrities are expected to visit in the upcoming days and the date of internment has yet to decide.
It can be recalled that John became one of the most popular actors in the past and was dubbed as the ‘Bad Boy’ of Philippine Cinema because of being an antagonist in hundreds of movies.
However, his retirement put him in financial problems and his medical condition put him in a more difficult situation.
John already made several pleas to his former colleagues in showbusiness, but some of them were ignored.
