TV5’s noontime show Tropang LOL was reportedly coming to an end according to talent manager Ogie Diaz.
In his online program, Diaz said the said noontime show already held its last taping on March 29 and their last Airing on April 29.
According to the talent manager, Tropang LOL would be replaced by the returning popular show of TV5, Face-to-Face.
“Ayun na nga, kasi nga confirmed na nga na magpapaalam na sa ere. Kasi nga nu’ng March 23, bago magsimula ‘yung taping ng kanilang cycle ng ‘LOL’ ay ‘yun nga, pinulong ng representative nung producer ‘yung buong cast ng ‘LOL’.” Ogie said.
Ogie couldn’t hide his sadness that some members of Tropang LOL who also lost their job because of the ABS-CBN shutdown.
“Sa totoo lang, nakakalungkot kasi nga, sabi ko nga, ‘yung mga ABS-CBN production staff na karamihan ay nagtatrabaho doon sa LOL ay siyempre maghahanap na naman ng trabaho.” he stated.
There were also some rumors that Showtime would possibly replace Tropang LOL in its timeslot.
Karla Estrada would become the host of Face-to-Face which became popular during its airing from 2010 to 2013.
The show was originally hosted by Amy Perez being called ‘Tyang Amy’ by its fans.
It can be recalled that the said talk show went viral recently after some netizens asked for its return because of its action-packed content.
Netizens couldn’t hide their excitement to watch face-to-face again which became one of the top-rated shows in the past.
