Kapamilya fans found happiness after they were informed that one of the lawmakers who voted against the franchise application of ABS-CBN reached his end.
On August 10, Senior Citizens party-list Representative Francisco “Jun” Datol Jr. passed away.
Instead of sending condolences, a Facebook page dedicated to ABS-CBN fans celebrated the demise of Datol.
The said Facebook page even used a ‘party emoji’ in their report, but later on, removed it.
One of the admins of the said page even made a comment, saying that there were now 69 lawmakers who voted against ABS-CBN left alive.
A top fan of the Kapamilya Kingdom called the demise of the late lawmaker as “karma”.
“Umuusad narin sa wakas ang karma. Kapit lang kapamilya makakamit natin ang hustisya,” Kapamilya top fan Lim Daniel said.
Other netizens also made their comments about the congressman.
“Waiting kay marcoleta, defensor at yung isang bonjing na sumaway sa flag ceremony,” netizen Chadz Borjz commented.
Some of them were even excited on the possibility that some lawmakers who voted against the ABS-CBN franchise would follow Datol.
The family of the late congressman has yet to comment on the reaction of Kapamilya fans.
Datol was known for pushing bills that would give benefit to senior citizens and protect their rights.
Just last week, Datol led the filing of House Resolution. 1054, urging PhilHealth to expand coverage of dialysis sessions for the senior citizens up to 144 days from the current 90 days.
