A writer explained to the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte why it’s impossible for the chief executive to think about corrupting the money of the country.
In a social media post, Krizette Laureta Chu said that President Duterte, who’s already 76 years old, had no reason to create an opportunity to corrupt public funds by increasing the debt of the country.
According to her, time may be more important than money for an old man like the President.
She also believed that Duterte is the “best President” of the Philippines because the chief executive was only focused on working and really showing his love to the people.
However, Chu also stated that Duterte also faced the “worst opposition”.

He doesn’t need to do anything more because he’s too old to run for a political position next election—he only wants to serve.
This is the thing the Opposition wants to downplay. At 76, the most precious thing for a person that age is TIME, ask your lolo. Money cannot buy you time. You say he’ll steal money from the debt we’re incurring, para saan? This guy is giving his twilight years to serve us. Konti nalang ilalagi nya sa mundong ibabaw(mga 200 years na lang), he is not in his position to steal, or to gain more power.
All he wants is to serve. And I see it by the way he works hard. Yes, the response to the pandemic is not perfect, but this government tries hard, without pretensions and with transparency.
The President listens when you appeal to him. Yesterday, the doctors wanted an ECQ. In the next day, he makes it happen.
Walang cordon cordon.
The President works hard, and has our best interests at heart.
The President loves the people. His IATF recommends 10,000 additional allowance and life insurance for those in the frontlines (this has to be discussed.)
This President is the best President the country has ever seen, too bad he came at a time where we have the WORST Opposition. Imagine if we have him, and we had what New Zealand has—mature opposition.
I can say this with a straight face: THERE HAS BEEN NO PRESIDENT IN THIS COUNTRY WHO LOVES HIS PEOPLE THE WAY HE DOES.
