Actor and television host Buboy Villar defended himself from the accusations he received from his ex-partner, Angillyn Gorens, who claimed that he was not giving enough support to their children.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, the former host of Tahanang Pinakamasaya denied the allegations, saying that his financial support to his children even reached P120,000 monthly during the peak of his career.
However, the pandemic severely affected his income, forcing him to lower his monthly financial support from P45,000 to P60,000.
He believed that the decrease in the monthly support he was sending was the reason why the camp of his former partner filed a complaint against him.
“‘Yung legal po [nagtanong], sabi ko, ‘Ma’am ito po ‘yung sahod ko po sa isang show, ito rin po’ yung sahod ko sa isang show, ayoko rin po mag-isip na si Angillyn aksi wala naman po akong hinihingi na dun sa nanay, wala naman po akong nire-request dun sa nanay,” he said.
The negotiation ended with Buboy being obligated to send a monthly child support of P25,000, plus the expenses that his children would require to pay for their education.
It can be recalled that Angillyn’s camp criticized Buboy for allegedly not sending enough support to his children.
Angillyn even said that she was paying two nannies for their children.
