Gerald Sibayan, the former partner of actress-comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas, seems to be saying goodbye to his American dream.
This comes after Ai-Ai withdrew her petition for Gerald to become a permanent resident in the United States.
According to the decision released by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS): “After a thorough review of your petition and the record of evidence, we must inform you that the approval of your petition has been automatically revoked.”
The government agency also stated that Gerald can no longer file an appeal.
Along with the petition withdrawal, Gerald’s travel and work permits in the U.S. have also been canceled, and he is expected to return to the Philippines soon.
It can be recalled that in 2021, Ai-Ai began applying for a green card for Gerald. However, she later canceled it after their breakup, which a third party reportedly caused.
Reports indicated that Gerald was the one who decided to end his relationship with Ai-Ai, saying that he wanted a family.
However, Ai-Ai made a discovery about the alleged other woman of Gerald.
