San Juan city councilor and actor Eric Vijandre was facing criticism on social media after his sister-in-law accused the public official of smacking down his brother, Erwin Vijandre, during New Year’s Eve.
Erwin revealed the incident after Ervic publicly greeted him with a happy birthday on his social media, calling out his brother for pretending that nothing disastrous had happened between them several months ago.
“Hindi mo alam kung gaano trauma ginawa mo sa pamilya ko? Lalo na sa mga anak ko… Hanggang ngayon binabangungot mga bata sa kawalanghiyaan mo!” Erwin told Ervic.
Erwin’s wife, Jaye Vijandre, then revealed the full details about the confrontation, saying that they tried to keep their silence for many months to protect Erwin’s image as a public official.
“We kept quiet eventhough he never asked how Erwin was. He ONLY said sorry when we were at the police station and hall of justice, asking Erwin to not press charges on him. Erwin gave him the favor and still protected his ‘good’ image,” said Jaye.
However, they couldn’t resist the ‘hypocrisy’ of Ervic after the latter greeted his brother like nothing happened.
“All of our children were there and they witnessed how he tried to end Erwin’s life,” she said.
“Our children up to now are having nightmares and still scared. They wouldn’t want to go back to Philippines anymore,” she added.
As of writing, Ervic have yet to give any response to the post made by his brother and sister-in-law.
