According to the report, Tanay was planning to release an ordinance to ban speeding along the highway, doing dangerous motorcycle stunts, and disallow any tourists from staying beside the highway.

Tanay Municipal Police Station Chief of Police PLTCOL. Norman Cas-oy said they plan to increase police visibility along the highway to prevent motorcycle riders from speeding and performing dangerous stunts.

John Louie Arguelles and Recs Akmad

They believed motorcycle riders were encouraged to perform dangerous stunts by the hobbyist vloggers and photographers in the area.

However, PNP Tanay admitted that riders would only try to find other places without cops in Marilaque to perform their stunts.

Last weekend, motorcycle riders identified as John Louie Arguelles and Recs Akmad were racing along Marilaque, performing a Superman stunt, when they lost control as they approached a sharp curve.

The two rammed the road barrier and some tourists.

Arguelles passed away, leaving his three-year-old child fatherless, while Akmad, who was hospitalized, criticized the public, saying that they didn’t know the whole story behind the incident.
