A content creator couldn’t stop her tears from flowing after she discovered the background of the security guard who went viral on social media after allegedly forcing a Sampaguita vendor to leave the mall he was guarding.
According to her statement, Cheska Consunji Reyes, also known as Kikay Booba, said that the security guard from Mindanao worked in Manila for 20 years in the same mall where he was dismissed.
Because he decided to work in Manila, which is far from his family, his wife reportedly left him.
However, he had no choice but to stay in Manila because he had no choice but to work because he needed to support his son and four other family members.
“Hindi niya ngayon masabi sa nanay niya na nawalan siya ng trabaho dahil may sakit ‘yung nanay niya, at hindi niya rin alam kung paano niya tutustusan ‘yung limang umaasa sa kanya,” she said.
“At the same time he was really depressed hindi siya makausap, kasi syempre patong patong na ‘yung nangyari sa kanya,” she added.
She called the situation of the guard unfair.
“While people are looking at the other side, without knowing the side of the other person involve, kung saan wala siyang tinapakan, wala siyang niloloko, hindi siya nagpapanggap ng kanyang identity, buong katapatan siya na naglilingkod sa trabaho niya at sa pamilya niya… ang sakit,” she stated.
It can be recalled that the security guard was banned from being deployed again in the said mall and all of its other branches.
The security agency of the guard also clarified that he was not dismissed but ordered to take a break temporarily while the investigation was still ongoing.
Meanwhile, the PNP opened the possibility that the guard may lose his license because of the incident.
