The Sampaguita vendor, who went viral on social media after she was confronted by a mall security guard, was set to receive a scholarship from Good Samaritans.
In a Facebook post, British content creator Malcolm Conlan revealed that some people reached him and urged him to find the sampaguita vendor so they could help them with her education.
“I just got this message through. Please help me find the family of the child in the video. Salamat.Hi! Mr. Conlan. Good day! This is… Should you have leads about the name and location of the student, please let us know. We would like to offer her a scholarship. Thank you!” Malcolm said.
According to Malcolm, the said individual was a representative from a school offering free scholarship.
“Just to make it clear I am NOT the one offering a scholarship for the child Jen who was in the viral video, I was contacted by a lady from the school offering it. I am merely using my social media to support this initiative. Thank you,” he clarified.
It can be recalled that the sampaguita vendor was already identified as Jenny after a child rights advocate revealed her meeting with the vendor last year.
