Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza announced her break-up with Jak Roberto after their seven-year relationship on January 2, 2024.
“Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love,” said Barbie.
“Your love was exceptional. But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together. Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto. Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” she added.
Barbie didn’t disclose the reason why she ended her relationship with Jak, but the actress’ mother, Amy Forteza, gave some hints on how the actress spent her whole year.
“No one knows how much you went through this year, but you stayed strong and didn’t quit,” said Amy. “I’m so proud of you,”
It can be recalled that several netizens speculated that there was a third party involved in the breakup.
Some theorized that one of them fell out of love and just decided to call it quits because they couldn’t maintain their relationship anymore.
Barbie was also being linked to her tandem, David Licauco who was also rumored to had a breakup with his non-showbiz girlfriend last December.
