Julius Babao featured the untold story of the late comedian Redford White, who passed away in 2010.
In his program Julius Babao UNPLUGGED, he interviewed Redford’s close friend, Director Woodrow Serafin, who’s one of the individuals who took care of the comedian before he passed away due to a brain tumor.
According to him, Redford used a chunk of the money he earned from acting to build a big chapel.
Redford also adopted children ready to serve the chapel in exchange for being sponsored by the comedian in their education.
The children were called ‘Devotees’ as they were serving the chapel while studying at the same time.
Director Serafin said that Redford never asked for any exchange to help children study, saying that the comedian would not interfere with their plans once they graduated.
Netizens also pushed for Redford to be included on the Walk of Fame.
“Sa mga politiko gayahin nyo si Redford White my legacy na iniwan hindi sya makasarili kundi mapagmahal sa kapwa salute to the family of Mr.Redford White.” a netizen said.
“Dapat ilagay ang name ni sir Redford White sa Walk of fame kasi magaling siya actor at comedian at mrami siya mga natutulungan.” another netizen said.
