Vice President Sara Duterte, in a Facebook live on Sunday, November 24, challenged President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Sr and other public officials to undergo a drug test.
In her statement, Duterte said that the PBBM administration was using her as a distraction to prevent the people from noticing the government issues.
She also denied the allegations that she was not already mentally fit to become a public official.
To disprove the claims against her, Duterte said that she was ready to take psychological tests, neuropsychiatric tests, and any other tests to prove her competency.
“Psychological test, neuropsychiatric test, kahit ano pang test ‘yan, gagawin ko ‘yan. Dagdagan ko pa ng drug test, pero dapat magpa-drug test ang lahat ng nagta-trabaho sa office of the president, office of the vice president, sa lahat ng opisina ng senado, sa lahat ng opisina ng House of the Representatives, sa lahat ng departamento ng ating pamahalaan,” she said.
“Magpa-drug test tayo sa harap ng taong bayan,” she added.
Duterte made the statement amid the possible impeachment complaint filed against her due to her alleged corrupt activities.
As of writing, the Palace has yet to give a response to Duterte’s challenge.
