Veteran actor Jay Manalo said he quickly offered to support his half-brother, Julius Manalo when he discovered that the latter was selling rugs to earn extra income.
In an interview, Jay said he was forced to live alone after his father, Eustaquio Manalo Jr. decided to work abroad.
To make ends meet, he created several jobs, like collecting scrap metals and selling rugs.
However, his struggle didn’t last long after Jay discovered his brother’s state.
According to Julius, his brother assisted him financially.
“In fairness po kay Kuya hindi naman siya ‘yung pinabayaan kami na ‘bahala kayo.’ ‘Pag may sobra siya talagang tumutulong din naman sa amin,” said Julius.
It can be recalled that Julius went viral on social media because of his reunion with his mother after 31 years of being far away from each other.
Julius became an instant online celebrity, and some netizens even asked him to join showbiz.
