Atty. Wilfredo Garrido, sinabing tama lang na hindi papasukin ang mga alagang hayop sa restaurant

A lawyer gave his opinion amid the issue between a pet owner and a posh restaurant in Tagaytay.

It can be recalled that Balay Dako in Tagaytay was facing criticism on social media after a customer complained about how the restaurant management barred his Aspin pet, Yoda’ from entering the establishment.

The customer received support on social media, especially from the Animal Rights group.

However, Atty. Wilfredo Garrido said that restaurants should not give access to pets in the first place and called the said practice unsanitary.

“Enough of these self-entitled folks who insist in bringing their pets inside restaurants.  We don’t want to eat beside your dogs or cats or what call your “fur babies”. Or snakes or monkeys, for that matter. It’s simply unsanitary,” said Garrido.

“We don’t want to dine out with fur floating around or something slobbering or barking in the nearby tables. Or smelling something unpalatable. Or using plates or utensils that might have been touched in the slightest by the paws or bodily fluids of these critters. Your place is worse than a hospital ward. It’s okay to bring your pets into the corridors. Or hallways. Or churches, even. Or inside hospital wards. But inside eating places, no effing way,” he added.

He also believed that food establishments allowing customers with dogs must  not pass any sanitary inspection.
