According to Maj Gen Edmundo Peralta, commander of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Quiboloy was currently under the custody of the army.

He was set to be brought to the ISAFP headquarters at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos announced the surrender of Quiboloy.

Police XI Regional Director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre was also clueless about what happened to Quiboloy, a sign that the pastor was not under PNP’s custody.

“Well I was informed by the secretary that Mr. Quiboloy has already been surrendered o nahuli na, hindi ko alam ‘yung details,” said Torre.

It could be recalled that Quiboloy’s camp had already asked the government for a written declaration that the American government must not interfere with his case if they wanted him to surrender.

However, the government was hesitant about the said agreement, as there was an extradition treaty between the United States and the Philippines.
