The partner of one of GMA Network’s independent contractors, who was accused of taking advantage of Sandro Muhlach, appealed to the public.
In his social media post, Ryan Benitez asked the public for compassion amid the criticism Jojo Nones is receiving from netizens.
Ryan already had a two-decade relationship with Jojo, so he was confident that his partner was not the person people thought he was.
“I know what he’s capable of and what he’s not. He’s far from perfect, but I’m certain that the people who truly know Jojo have experienced the love and light in his heart,” Ryan wrote.
The director also said that the people accused were also humans affected by the early judgment they received.
“In the midst of the chaos, I hope people can be compassionate enough to reserve their judgment about Jojo and Dode and let the wheels of justice run their course,” Ryan said.
“You may have unfavorable opinion of them now, but Jojo and Dode are people too—with family and friends who love them and who are also hurting.” he added.
Jojo was currently spending his nights at the senate building after he was cited for contempt for repeatedly denying the charges against him.
