A woman was now put behind bars after she attempted to end the life of a 10-year-old student.
According to the reports, the 18-year-old suspect was walking along Adica Street when she crossed paths with the victim.
CCTV footage showed that she suddenly approached the victim and used a bladed thing on him.
“Bigla na lang nanaksak itong suspek sa isang walang kalaban-labang biktima. Ginamit [niya] yung pwersa niya laban doon sa bata using a bladed weapon, more or less six inches in length,” said PCol. Felipe B. Maraggun.
The victim’s mother witnessed the incident and came to rescue her son.
After being caught by the authorities, the suspect, identified as Michaela Espiridion, said that she was only jealous of the victim.
“Iniwan po nila ako simula nung bata pa,” she said.
Meanwhile, the authorities believed that there was something wrong with Espiridion’s mental capacity.
“Masasabi natin parang wala siya sa sarili. And nung in-interview siya ng aming investigator, ay paiba-iba yung sinasabi at hindi klaro. So there’s something about the mindset ng ating suspect,” he said.
