Atty. Raymond Fortun gave an update about the possible reunion between two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and his family.
It can be recalled that Carlos publicly said that he would meet his father, Mark Andrew, after they saw each other during the Heroes’ Parade in Manila.
However, Atty. Fortun said that four days since Carlos made such a promise, the Yulo family has not received any message from him.
He also revealed that Mr. Yulo tried to call Carlos twenty times, but the latter didn’t answer any of his attempts.
“From August 4 to August 13, the father makes more than 20 calls to speak to the son. All were ignored; not a single call returned. On August 14, the son joins a parade, and makes a post on Facebook: “Kitakits” he says to his dad,” said Fortun.
“After 4 days, no reunion. Not even a single phone call or text to any member of his family as of 10:00pm of August 18,” he added.
The lawyer also asked his followers to pray for the reconciliation between Carlos and his family.
Yulo’s family already appealed to Carlos several times to meet them.
However, the gymnast, who was always with his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, has yet to give a clear intention to meet his family, aside from his promises in his public posts.
