hiTwo-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo’s grandfather, Rodrigo Frisco, revealed why they didn’t attend the athlete’s arrival on August 13 at Villamor Airbase.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Rodrigo said he was initially excited, thinking he would finally see his grandchild after several months of not talking or seeing each other.
However, they received a text message from Carlos’ father, Mark Andrew, and told them not to go to the airport.
Naka-ready na kami,” he said.
Pero si Caloy ata, e.” he added.
According to the reports, the athletes were allowed to be welcomed by their families during their arrival, which raised questions about why Carlos’ family was disallowed to attend the event.
In the past interview, Rodrigo repeatedly expressed excitement about seeing his grandchild.
It can be recalled that Rodrigo introduced gymnastics to Carlos.
