In a press conference, Duterte highlighted the achievements she gained as the DepEd secretary.

“I sought an audience with the president and tendered my resignation as the secretary of education effective July 19, 2024,” Duterte said.

She added, “I am given my thirty-day notice to ensure a proper and orderly transition for the benefit of the next secretary.”

Duterte also clarified that she didn’t resign to show her weakness as a public official.

The Vice President didn’t reveal the reason she resigned as the DepEd secretary, but she vowed to continue performing the role mandated to her by the Filipino people.
