The true identity of the suspended mayor of Bamban, Tarlac, Alice Guo, was slowly being unearthed.
Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian provided several documents that might unmask Guo’s real identity. Guo claimed to be half-Filipino.
“Alice Guo might be Guo Hua Ping, who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, when she was 13 years old. Her real birth date is on Aug 31, 1990,” said Gatchalian.
Gatchalian presented a passport named before a certain Guo Hua Ping, a resident of Fujian province in China.
The ID Picture used in the passport also shows a woman who resembles Guo.
“This is according to documents provided by the Board of Investments from the Guo family’s application for a Special Investors Resident Visa (SIRV) and the Bureau of Immigration. Guo Hua Ping’s registered mother under the SIRV is Lin Wenyi,” said Gatchalian.
If proven, Guo would be technically disqualified from running for any government position as she was not a Filipino.
It can be recalled that many lawmakers already questioned Guo’s citizenship due to her refusal to talk about her past life.
She also couldn’t speak the local language in Tarlac but was seen speaking Mandarin, which raised more suspicions about her real identity.
