Influencer Ronnie Suan, also known as Boy Tapang, was facing possible charges from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for making a kite using 1,000-peso bills.

In the said vlog posted on April 2, 2024, Ronnie, together with his friends, built the giant kite and even showed the process of how they made it.

Their project was successful, but at the same time, received criticism from the netizens, which eventually reached BSP’s radar.

On April 13, BSP’s Payments and Currency Investigation Group visited Ronnie in his home and warned him of the possible charges he may face for what he did.

Ronnie then made a video to apologize for his actions.

“Ginawa ko po ‘yung content for entertainment purposes only.

He also urged the netizens to stop sharing the said video as they may face charges.
