Cassy Legaspi finally made a public statement after Darren Espanto denied their relationship.
It can be recalled that Darren went viral on social media after he clarified that Cassy was only a friend once and twice.
“Best friends talaga. It’s something a lot of people won’t get. Hindi ko alam paano explain pero syempre andun ‘yung pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa,” Darren stated during an interview with ABS-CBN.
Darren also denied Cassy when he was paired by his It’s Showtime co-hosts with Jillian Ward.
In an interview with “Unang Balita” last Friday, Cassy said that her relationship with Darren was hard to explain.
However, she admitted that her relationship with Darren could only be labeled as ‘best friends.’
“It’s so hard to explain what we have, pero best friends talaga kami,” said Cassy.
Cassy and Darren have been friends for many years since their first meeting in 2015.
Despite her clarification, many netizens believed Cassy and Darren’s relationship was deeper than friendship.
They based their speculations on the cryptic posts Cassy and her mother, Carmina Villarroel published.
Some netizens also speculated that Cassy was friend-zoned by Darren.
Meanwhile, Darren has yet to give any statement on the hints posted by Cassy and Carmina on their social media pages.
