Ramil Albano received more questions from netizens after a video he uploaded in March circulated on social media.
It can be recalled that Albano went viral on social media after he was believed to be a victim of the April Fool’s challenge of the Taragis Takoyaki shop, which entrepreneur Carl Quion owned.
Taragis posted a challenge on April 1, 2024, offering P100,000 to anyone who could put a logo of their shop on their forehead permanently, but later on, clarified that it was only part of their April Fool’s prank.
Donations were poured to Albano as they believed that he was a victim of an irresponsible prank.
But after several days, the netizens who were questioning the legitimacy of his story were increasing.
The most recent evidence found by netizens was the video uploaded by Albano last March 28, showing that he already had the logo on his forehead even before Taragis published their challenge.
The recent evidence prompted the netizens to change their opinion toward Albano.
Meanwhile, Taragis also faced possible sanctions from the Department of Trade and Industry for their prank.
Aside from the possible cancellation of their business name registration, DTI also informed other agency to explore possible charges against Taragis.
