Joey de Leon, may mensahe sa gitna ng paglipat ng It’s Showtime sa GMA

Joey de Leon published a post after the contract signing between the two media giants, ABS-CBN and GMA, to air It’s Showtime on the Kapuso Network.

In his post, Joey mentioned the longevity of Eat Bulaga and how the longest-running noontime show switched stations several times.

“Whoa! Eat Bulaga is about 14,000 days old today! We have been “running” from network to network since 1979! Kaya ba we are the longest running? Ngek!” Joey said.

Several netizens reacted to Joey’s post and praised Eat Bulaga’s survivality.

“It’s more than just a show – EAT BULAGA is legendary! With its entertaining segments and long-standing history, it’s no wonder why it has captured the hearts of audiences for decades,” netizen @belroc23 said.

“Walang sinabi si Johnnie Walkker sa inyo..siya keep on walking lang kayo keep on running,” netizen @ronwazowski remarked.

It can be recalled that GMA and ABS-CBN made one of the biggest deals in the history of the television industry.

Starting on April 6, It’s Showtime will be aired on GMA Network replacing the short-lived Tahanang Pinakasamasaya produced by Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

Unlike its block time agreement with TAPE Inc, ABS-CBN and GMA will co-produce It’s Showtime.
