Content creator and toy collector Yexel Sebastian was facing serious charges for allegedly luring his followers to invest in a bogus company.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) already filed syndicated estafa, a non-bailable offense against Sebastian.
According to NBI official Atty. Palmer Mallari, Sebastian was allegedly involved in a P50-B scam.
The official also said that one of the complainants invested P700,000 in Sebastian’s business after being promised a monthly profit of P35,000.
It can be recalled that Yexel already denied the accusations against him despite openly promoting the said business to millions of his followers.
This was Sebastian’s statement to his followers:
It’s time to defend myself and my whole family. I don’t want to speak up because even if we appeared bad and looked like trash in the Philippines, I’d accept all the negative comments just to fix everything peacefully, but what happened was the opposite. Even our safety has been put at stake. It’s painful to see my family pleading for me, Mikee, and Zyph’s safety, so I think this is the right time.]
