Actress Ivana Alawi insisted that she had no special relationship with Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
Ivana who’s infrequently answering rumors about her, made a rare statement about the issue, saying that her family was already affected by it.
“This will be the first and last time na magsasalita ako tungkol dito,” said Ivana. “HINDI PO AKO ANG NASASABING girlfriend ni Mayor Albee Benitez,”
“I met him when I had work in Bacolod. He was very accommodating and friendly. At hindi lang sya ang politikong nakilala ko at naging kaibigan,” she added.
The actress said that she was dating somebody else.
“I am currently seeing someone who makes me happy. All I can say is that he is a respectable businessman and not a politician,” she stated.
It can be recalled that Ivana and the Mayor were spotted together while they were in Japan.
Joey de Leon and his wife who were close to Benitez were also there.
