Chiqui Hollmann, the first female host of Eat Bulaga, admitted a rumor about her real relationship with Vic Sotto after several decades.
In an interview with Julius Babao, Chique said that she had a short-lived romantic relationship with the comedian.
Chiqui was part of Eat Bulaga from 1979 to 1981, when the program was still on RPN-9.
The former television host even admitted that she forgot the complete details of her relationship with Vic as it had already been four decades past.
“It’s been so long. It’s been… I’ve been married for 42 years. I cannot recall.” she said.
She also explained why her relationship with Vic was only short and how it ended.
“Kasi ako, nakaka-separate ako ng trabaho at saka ng personal life. Kahit magkasama tayo, puwede ako, puwede ako yung pagkatapos nun, tapos na, bye-bye, ganun. Puwede ako nun, yun lang,” she stated.
“Dinenay. Sabi niya, ‘That’s not true.’ I heard it. I heard it somewhere. Pero, you know, that’s like, ‘It’s alright. Cool.’ Hindi naman ako yung makikipag-away. Hindi, hindi.” she added.
Chique shared that her daughter, Chia Hollmann, was a friend of Vic’s current partner, Pauleen Luna.
It can be recalled that after hosting Eat Bulaga, Chiqui left the program to become part of its rival show, Student Canteen.
