Ilang netizens, nagpakita ng suporta kay Col. Nebrija: He has proven to be a competent leader”

Suspended Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Task Force Special Operations Unit Head Col. Bong Nebrija received tremendous support from netizens.

In a Facebook post, Belle Enriquez said that Nebrija proved himself a competent leader for being brave enough to name Sen. Bong Revilla on the alleged use by the lawmaker of the EDSA bus lane.

It can be recalled that Revilla publicly criticized Nebrija for naming him as the boss of the driver they caught along EDSA for using the bus lane even if it was not allowed.

According to Enriquez, Revilla should show humility and forgive Nebrija for what happened.

She believed that it would be better to let Nebrija do his job instead of suspending him.

“A simple PUBLIC APOLOGY would suffice. Colonel Edison Bong Nebrija has proven to be a competent leader within the MMDA’s task force and a dedicated public servant. I have personally known him for years and can vouch for his honesty and integrity. This “other Bong,” who happens to be a Senator, should demonstrate humility and avoid excessive showmanship and theatrics. Bong Nebrija is a force to be reckoned with, and it is time to end this grandstanding. Let Nebrija focus on his work and continue making a difference. No need to publicly shame Nebrija,” Enriquez said.

“In the demanding realm of daily operational management, where multiple tasks are juggled tirelessly and each individual is pushed to their utmost potential, it is unavoidable for errors to emerge occasionally. Stepping forward and acknowledging one’s own mistakes, accompanied by a genuine display of remorse, is undoubtedly a formidable testament to exceptional leadership qualities,” she added.

Meanwhile, Nebrija already publicly apologized to Revilla for his recent statements.

“As the Commander NTFSOU, I make decisions based on the information given me by my team mates and yes like anybody else I also make mistakes. The authority given me commensurates to the responsibility and accountability that goes with my position. The buck ends with me and for whatever disgrace my actions has brought the good Senator Bong Revilla and his family, I extend my personal apologies and on behalf of my whole team. To the Filipino people, I fell short I’m sorry,” he stated.
