Ruru Madrid couldn’t stop his emotions while talking about how his girlfriend, Bianca Umali, converted to his religion, Iglesia Ni Cristo.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Ruru said that he was surprised when Bianca told her that she was interested in listening to the teaches of INC.
“Nagulat na lang ako one day, birthday po niya, bigla niyang sinabi sa akin na ang gusto raw niyang gift para sa sarili niya ay faith kay God. At gusto raw po niya na makinig ng aral ng Iglesia ni Cristo,” said Ruru.
“Hindi ko po talaga napigilan na maiyak noong mga panahon na iyon kasi alam ko talaga, napatunayan ko sa sarili ko, na siya na talaga,” he added.
According to him, Bianca really showed interest in his religion by not missing any sessions.
“Inaral po niya ‘yon, everyday nagpupunta po siya…sa amin po kasi may 25 sessions, may eight months pa na pagsubok na hindi ka pwedeng maka-miss kahit isang pagsamba. At tinapos po niya lahat ‘yon nang hindi ko siya pinipilit,” he said.
In a past interview, Ruru denied that he forced Bianca to join INC.
It can be recalled that INC forbids its members to have a relationship or marry someone outside their religion.
