OPM band Kamikazee went viral on social media after their planned performance in Sorsogon was canceled after reportedly being ousted by the province’s Governor, Boboy Hamor.
Kamikazee even posted an announcement that they were performing in Sorsogon, but it was canceled at the last minute.
According to local reports, Hamor was disappointed by the attitude shown by the band members consisting of Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao, Led Tuyay, Puto Astete, Bords Burdeos, Jian Lubiano, and Mikki Jill.
In his speech, the governor said he would not let anyone disrespect the people of Sorsogon.
He didn’t disclose the exact reason why he decided to take extreme measures by canceling the show.
However, Hamor vowed that he would not let the band return to Sorsogon after the incident.
Okay?” he added.
It was reported that the band slept at the airport because of the sudden cancellation of their gig.
As of writing, Kamikazee has yet to release a statement about the sudden cancellation of their show.
