Several netizens couldn’t hide their regret that Rhenz Abando didn’t get enough playtime during the FIBA World Cup held in the country.
It can be recalled that Rhenz was one of the top scorers of Gilas during their only win in the tournament against China.
According to netizen Atiya, Gilas Pilipinas might not have been winless in their first four games if coach Chot Reyes had given more playtime to Abando in their previous games.
“Imagine if Chot Reyes started with him plus Jordan Clarkson. Gilas Pilipinas would have qualified for the Olympics,” said the netizen.

Abando also received praise from other netizens.
