The cyclist who got involved in a confrontation with a former policeman refused to file charges against the latter.
It can be recalled that Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte urged the cyclist to file charges against the suspect, Willie Gonzales after the former cop almost used his weapon during the confrontation that happened on August 8.
However, according to the cyclist, the issue was already settled between him and Gonzales on the day of the incident.
He also denied that he was paid by the suspect to keep mum on the issue.
According to him, he chose to keep his privacy and peace amid the possible publicity that the issue would gain if ever he pursued filing charges against the former cop.
As of writing, Atty. Raymond Fortun, one of the lawyers who wanted to represent the cyclist has yet to give any comment on the issue.
