Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador wanted Coach Chot Reyes to be removed from Gilas Pilipinas after the disappointing homecourt defeat of the Philippine Team against the Dominican Republic on August 25.
In a Facebook post, Rendon said that Chot should just retire as a coach because of the defeats faced by Gilas under his helm.
“Gusto kong palitan ang coach! Hindi talaga tayo mananalo kapag tanga yung coach natin. Bilang boses ng bayan at isang Pilipino din, may karapatan akong mag desisyon kung ano ang ikabubuti nating lahat. Pahinga ka na coach, pwede ka naman taga abot ng tubig muna. Gusto din kasi namin makaranas ng panalo. Maraming salamat sa pag resign,” said Rendon.
According to him, people need a Coach who does not blame anyone, but himself during Gilas defeats.
It can be recalled that Chot made another explanation during the loss to the Philippines, mentioning what happened to Jordan Clarkson and Kai Sotto during the game.
However, several netizens disliked the explanation made by the coach, saying that he must put all the blame to himself because he was the one strategizing their game.
