Kris Aquino reminds the critics of her family: ‘You do owe this man the fact that you have FREEDOM OF SPEECH’

This Ninoy Aquino Day, people remember the heroism of former senator Ninoy Aquino Jr. who met his end when he attempted to return to the country on August 21, 1983.

The demise of the former senator was believed to spark the People Power Revolution that toppled the 21-year rule of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. the father of the current chief executive Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Meanwhile, the post made by Kris to the critics of her family in 2017, reminding them who brought democracy to this country went viral on social media.

In the said post, Kris posted a video of her father and told the people that no fake news could revise the legacy of the former senator.

“You cannot rewrite history. And the truth is you do owe this man the fact that you have FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION & FREEDOM OF THE PRESS TODAY- because he had the balls to actually DIE for his country,” said Kris.

“In super clear language, HINDI SYA INURUNGAN NG BAYAG KAHIT ALAM NYA NUNG PABABA SYA NG EROPLANO NA BABARILIN NA SYA SA TARMAC ng AIRPORT,” she added.

The post received mixed reactions both from the supporters and critics of the Aquino family.
