It’s Showtime may possibly catch the attention of MTRCB again after Kim Chiu’s remarks

Netizens believed that the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) may send another warning to Its Showtime after Kim Chiu made a statement about ‘vibrator’.

During the August 2 episode of It’s Showtime, Kim was giving her comment to the voice of one of the contestants of ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan,’ but instead of vibrato, the actress uttered the word ‘vibrator’.

“Ang ganda ng vibrator ng boses mo,” said Kim.

Kim also received another criticism when she mentioned the word ‘p*kp*k shorts’, a remark quickly corrected by her co-host Jhong Hilario who jokingly said that it should be called ‘kwek kwek shorts’.

As of writing, MTRCB has yet to release any comment on the incident.

This is not the first time that Kim made such mistakes. In 2019, Kim also received criticism for uttering another inappropriate word on It’s Showtime.

She quickly apologized for what she said.

The trend of calling out every mistake of noontime shows started when MTRCB sent a summon order against It’s Showtime after its co-hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez licked a cake in front of several children during the July 25, 2023 episode of the show.

Since then, netizens started to actively call the attention of MTRCB when they noticed a mistake committed by the rival of their favorite noontime show.

One example was the campaign of some It’s Showtime fans who pushed MTRCB to also summon E.A.T producers after its host, Tito Sotto, and Helen Gamboa made an overly sweet gesture during one of its episodes.
