While Pastor Dimver Andales of the Lapasan Baptist Church was receiving a tremendous amount of criticism and accusation from the netizens, a few people who knew him personally bravely defended the preacher on social media.
It can be recalled that Andales was linked to the demise of a 23-year-old graduating student Adriane Rovic Fornillos, because of an alleged love triangle with the victim’s girlfriend.
In some Facebook posts, some netizens insisted that Andales was a ‘man of God’ that would never do such unfaithful gestures toward his wife.
Netizen Argentina Sialongo defended Andales, saying that the pastor changed many lives in his career as a preacher.
She also said that the pastor was not discriminatory and interacted with different people regardless of their background.
“TO MY PASTOR DIMVER ANDALES, YOU’VE BEEN BEARING PRECIOUS FRUITS SINCE YOU GOT SAVED BECAUSE YOU’VE BEEN ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR. YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN BROUGHT A GREAT IMPACT TO MANY PEOPLE AROUND THE GLOBE. FROM THE VERY DAY YOU BECOME A CHRISTIAN UP TO THIS PRESENT YOU ARE STILL A BLESSING. I KNOW YOUR HEART AS A PASTOR, AS A MAN OF GOD, AS A HUSBAND TO YOUR WIFE AND A DAD TO YOUR KIDS,” Sialongo said.
Another netizen Jerry Pasucal Mercado cautioned the netizens not to quickly judge the Pastor, saying that the church being led by the Pastor had a good reputation.
“I don’t know him personally Pastor Andales but, my wife does when she was studying at Bible School in Lapasan Baptist Church. She knows how loyal, passionate, faithful and fulltime servant in our Lord Almighty Jesus Christ he is,” he said.
It can be recalled that Andales insisted that he was not having an affair with Fornillos’ girlfriend.
He also called the rumors being spread about him as politically motivated.
