Motivational speaker and internet celebrity Rendon Labador asked the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to summon E.A.T host Jose Manalo for his joke about the skin color of his co-host Tugue Zombie.
Through his Facebook page, Rendon asked MTRCB why they were not taking any action at Jose’s remark.
“MTRCB BAKIT HINAHAYAAN NINYO ITO???Bigyan ko kayo hanggang lunes para aksyunan ito,” said Rendon.
He also gave MTRCB until Monday to work or else they should just abolish their agency.
“Para fair naman kay maam Lala Sotto, no hate trabaho lang naman. Dapat nadin yata nating i check yung mga board members ng MTRCB? Baka t*t*nga t*nga lahat at baka palamunin lang ng gobyerno kaya hindi marunong mag trabaho. Kawawa talaga ang lider kung ang mga tauhan nito ay mahihina. Kawawa ang Pilipinas,” said Rendon.
It can be remembered that Jose captured the attention of It’s Showtime fans amid the summoning order sent by MTRCB to Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, pointing out the alleged unfairness of the agency.
In the said episode of the ‘Sugod Bahay’ segment of the Kapatid noontime show, Jose was talking to the hosts in the studio when he suddenly talked about Zombie’s skin color.
“Siguro pag napanalunan mo ‘to sa bingo ‘to, ‘yan ang tinatawag na black out,” said Jose.
Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, and Miles Ocampo were visibly surprised by Jose’s joke.
How about a “racist” joke against this black man on national tv MTRCB? Since when did we tolerate racism? Even Paolo B and Miles di nagustuhan yung joke e. Ano na Lala Sotto? Lol. Vice Ganda and Ion did nothing wrong. Kayo lang nagbibigay ng malice sa action.
