Megastar Sharon Cuneta posted a letter addressed to her fans whom she followed on Instagram.
In her social media post, Sharon said that she was forced to unfollow her fans as she was required to lessen her following list.
Sharon claimed that her following list was near to its full capacity so she wanted to lessen it to avoid her account being disabled.
“Sharonians! Please understand.. I will have to unfollow you on this account kasi super PUNO na talaga, kailangan nang bawasan at para fair, kailangan ko na kayo i-unfollow. HINDI NAMAN IBIG SABIHIN NA HINDI KAYO MAHALAGA SA AKIN O DI KO KAYO MAHAL! Pero di ko alam kung marami pang artista ang nagfo-followback ng fans nya kasi baka masapra pa account ko!” Sharon said.
“I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH BUT I HAVE TO DO THIS! You can still comment on my posts and I can still reply to you so please don’t feel bad! Thank you so much for understanding,” she added.

Her post received mixed reaction from some netizens, but most of her fans said that they’re okay with being unfollowed by the megastar.
According to Instagram, they’re only allowed a user to follow a maximum of 7,500 people on their social media platform.
“Anyone who tries to follow more than 7,500 people will see an error message, regardless of how many followers they have. Anyone who’s currently following more than 7,500 people did so before this change was made,” Instagram wrote.
As of writing, Sharon was still above the following limit on her profile.
