It can be recalled that Paolo delivered an emotional speech during the closing spiel of Eat Bulaga on July 29 and addressed the accusations from netizens that they’re fake.

Sotto then made a tweet believed to be a response to Paolo’s statement.

“Then why not think of a new name?” Sotto said.

The former senator also said that the longest-running noontime show was not legitimate anymore when they left Eat Bulaga.

“Tape inc has absolutely no right to celebrate 44 years. They existed only in 1981. They did not exist in 1979. EB ceased to be EB when TVJ left them,” he stated.

It can be recalled that Sotto, together with his brother, Vic, and Joey de Leon asked the court to stop TAPE Inc. from using the Eat Bulaga title and its artistic elements.
