Talent manager and showbiz columnist Ogie Diaz confirmed that he met GMA head writer Suzette Doctolero at the GMA Gala 2023.

In his online show, Ogie narrated his unexpected meeting with Suzette, who’s known to be one of his critics for several years.

According to him, the only thing they did was laugh at each other during the said meeting.

“Wala ng pali-paliwanag, nagyakap kami, nag-picture kami,” he said.

However, he reminded Suzette that she blocked him on Twitter.

In response, Suzette quickly unblocked Ogie on the social media platform.

It can be recalled that the feud between Suzette and Ogie started when the writer criticized the show ‘Bagani.’

Suzette called out the people behind the defunct ABS-CBN show because of its portrayal of ‘Babaylan’ or Filipino shamans.

“Pakiusap na maging maingat tayo sa pagsusulat lalo na at mula sa ating mayamang kultura. Utang na loob. Huwag nating gawing kalokohan lalo at maraming batang nanonood. Hindi ito katatawanan,” she said.

Ogie’s former talent, Liza Soberano, was one of the leading casts of the show, so he couldn’t stop himself from defending the show from Suzette.

“Bago pumuna sa uling ng iba, humarap muna sa salamin, baka meron ka ding uling sa mukha,” the talent manager said.

“Kaya gusto kong sabihin dito kay Suzette Doctolero na madalas pumuna sa show ng abs-cbn habang siya’y writer ng gma-7, nobody’s perfect, atih,” he added.

In 2020, the two also exchanged arguments on social media about the ABS-CBN franchise issue.

“Huwag mo akong diktahan kung anong ipo-post ko. Napaka ironic na ‘yang “nyetang freedom of expression ang binabandera ninyo pero pikon at bitter ka sa anumang dissenting opinion dyan sa inyong narrative na drama drama,” Suzette told Ogie.
